Next MC-ARC Meeting: 2017-04-08

The Mason County Amateur Radio Club will meet Saturday, Apr 08, 2017 @ 8:30 AM at the Alpine Way Continuing Care Community in Shelton, Washington. (Coffee provided) Y’all come join us. Everybody is welcome! Remember that Testing is immediately after the meeting. (See sidebar.) Also be sure to check our Forums occasionally for “stuff.”

We’re still looking for someone to step into various Club Officer positions. Would be nice if some of the “New” (younger) Hams took on these Offices to learn the ropes. Sure would like “someone” to learn this here new fangled Web-Stuff too.

Also, we’re still trying to plan Field Day 2017 and need your ideas.

…Lowland snow showers and localized snow accumulations likely
from Saturday through Monday…

A return to cold and showery weather is expected from tonight
through Monday morning. The air mass should be sufficiently cold
to support snow showers over the lowlands, especially during the
cooler morning hours from Saturday through Monday.

It is too early to pinpoint specific snowfall amounts and
locations. So the main message right now is simply to expect
hit-and-miss snowfall accumulations around 1 inch or less at
almost any time from Saturday through Monday. The cooler morning
hours represent the more likely time of day to get accumulating
snow. Air temperatures will generally be above freezing, so any
snow accumulations are likely to melt a few hours after occurring.
