Field Day 2016 Locations & Info

Field Day is coming up (Field Day is always the fourth full weekend of June, beginning at 1800 UTC (1100 our time) Saturday and running through 2059 UTC Sunday. Field Day 2016 is June 25-26)! This year we plan to set up at Hunter’s Field; just North of Shelton on Highway 101.

This Is The Place! (Where have I heard that before?)

Address is: 13399 U.S. 101. @47.2596344,-123.1494728 for the GPS inclined. North of Shelton on U.S. 101 for the Map Literate. Bout 1 mile North of the Airport for the Good-Ol-Boys. There’ll be a sign next to the road for the rest of us. (I hope!)

ALSO: K7TIT (Dan) & NX7ED (Ed) are setting up the GOTA Station in the Kneeland Park Picnic Shelter, Shelton, Wa. from 0800-1800 (8 am to 6 pm) Saturday, 25 June 2016.  If you ever thought you wanted to talk on the radio, this would be the place to give it a try!

Dan Ransom (K7MM) gave a pretty good talk on HamWan at the last meeting. We really appreciate him driving all the way to Shelton to present to us! He’s welcome back anytime!

Dan (K7TIT) got out and worked on Roland’s (KC7WNJ) antenna to get him back on the HF bands. (With a slight assist from Marlene (AE7VG) and Stan (KF7LTT).) Thanks, Y’all!

Don’t forget to check out our Forums & Pictures! (And that live lightning link is pretty cool too!)

Updated MC-ARC Picture

Y’all be sure to check the “Blogroll” to the right. It contains links to some interesting sites (of probable interest to Hams) and the New MC-ARC Forums. (Forums are a place for one and all to engage in actual conversation instead of just reading “stuff.”) Check them out and get them to working the way you want them.

Note from the “Webmaster:” I sure could use someone to be a “backup” Webmaster just in case.

Field day is coming on fast! Plans are to have a GOTA Station at the Kneeland Park Picnic Shelter (run by K7TIT) and the usual gathering at the usual field north of town.
