VE exams for all license levels are offered the second Saturday of each month (usually right after our meeting) at 1000 (10 A.M.) at the PUD#3, Auditorium A, 2621 Johns Prairie Rd., Shelton. Click on the link or come to the meeting for directions. For testing you will need the original and a copy of your present license (if you have your ticket already), some form of ID with YOUR picture on it and $15.

NET Reminder: We still have our Chat Nets every Sunday & Wednesday evenings @ 1930 (7:30 PM) on 146.72 (- 103.5)and our 10-meter net on Tuesdays @ 1930 (still 7:30 PM) on 28.450 (USB). You do not have to be a member of the club to join in! New folks are always welcome! Our club’s repeater is an open repeater. So, tune up, key up and listen in.

Club meetings are a great place to get information about ham radio in the Mason County area. Come join us and learn about ham radio in your community.

MC-ARC meets on the second Saturday of each month at the Alpine Way Retirement Center (after entering the main entrance, turn right and proceed down the long hallway, past the parakeets). Meetings start at 8:30 am and usually last about an hour.

The North Mason Amateur Radio Emergency Services Club (our Affiliated Club) meets the fourth Thursday of the month at the Timberland Library in Belfair.

CONTEST PERIOD

The third full weekend of September from 1600Z Saturday through 0700Z Sunday and then from 1600Z – 2400Z Sunday. All operators may operate all

23 hours of the contest.

• Contest Bands: 160, 80, 40, 20, 15, 10, 6 and 2 meters • No contacts on 60, 30, 17, or 12 meters are allowed Suggested Frequencies:

CW 1850, 3550, 7045, 14050, 21050, 28040 kHz and 50.095 MHz Phone 1850, 3925, 7260, 14280, 21380, 28380 kHz and 50.130 MHz Digital Around the customary calling frequencies by mode

Smoked Salmon Prizes

Packages of smoked salmon will be awarded to the highest scoring entry in each DXCC entity and each US Call District (0 through 9).

To qualify for prizes the minimum number of QSOs is: DX 25 and USA 50.
