Those of us who live in the Pacific Northwest need to know about earthquakes, because our region has a history of very large, devasting quakes. How can you prepare?
There are several quick, easy things you can do to prepare. For example, find a safe spot in every room. Move heavy objects and household chemicals from high shelves. Store bleach and ammonia bottles separately so if the bottles break, the contents won’t mix and create deadly chlorine gas. Think about how you would help yourself, your family, and your neighbors.
