#1 Mason County ARES will hold its monthly check in on Sunday June 3rd. Following the check in the regularly scheduled Sunday evening talk net will take place with the following suggested topics.
a. the continuing search for a county wide radio frequency for emergency use if such a beast exists.
b. field day
#2 Some of you may be aware of a major earth quake disaster drill taking place on June 5th. I have spoken with Art Hall W7IMU the Mason County R/O and we came to the decision that Mason County ARES will not participate. There were two reasons: first Mason County is not one of the counties selected to participate and Mason County EMD is not participating. Secondly amateur radio is not a primary resource that will be used in the exercise.
