    INSTRUCTIONS: All amateur operators are encouraged to check in with
both repeaters net control during the one hour drill. The purpose of
the drill is to test the capabilities of both repeaters for use during
an emergency.And to familiarize amateur operators with the two
repeaters.

Next MCARC Meeting: 2017-12-09

The Mason County Amateur Radio Club will meet Saturday, December 09, 2017 at the Mason County Christian School, 470 Eagle Ridge Dr., Shelton, WA 98584. SEE MAP! When you park, walk to the right and down to the meeting room.

Recent antenna fixes at the NMARESC (The North Club) Repeater are complete and their signal is great! Join them for their Net on Monday’s at 1930. See sidebar. They also have NM7E 220 MHz  Repeater has an output of 224.260  MHz with a  negative 1.6 MHz offset (222.66 MHz) with a tone of 103.5.

Revised EOC to EOC Drill 2017-09-30

REVISED INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 30 EOC TO EOC DRILL

The 5 th Saturday of the month EOC to EOC drill with be held on Saturday September 30 th. The drill will commence at 9 am and conclude at 10 am.
This purpose of this drill is to familiarize Mason County amateur radio operators with the emergency radio plan. This is the first of several drills that will familiarize amateur radio operators with additional parts of the emergency radio plan.
For this drill the county has been divided into four quadrants. These four quadrants are described below. Read the description of the quadrants to locate the quadrant your residence is in. Each quadrant has been assigned a net control and a 2 meter simplex frequency. Use the assigned 2 meter frequency to check in. If you are unable to establish contact with your net control use the Shelton 2 meter repeater 146.720 and check in.

WEST OF SHELTON  146.535
The area west of Highway 101 and South of the Skokomish River

EAST OF SHELTON 146.146.550
The area east of Highwy 101 and south of the Anthony Rd (Mason Lake).

BELFAIR 146.565
The area North of the Anthoney Rd to the Kitsap and Pierce County Lines

HOODSPORT 146.445
The area North of the Skokomish River to the Jefferson County line and the East shore of Hood Canal

Participants are encouraged to try all 4 simplex frequencies during the drill.
